ABOUT
ZERURA jewellery came to life in 2021, because I often found myself looking at jewellery and thought; “if only it looked a little more like this or that”, so I decided to design pieces that I love. The pieces are very Scandinavian and they are both feminine and bold, which means that you can create your own vibe and change it up for any occasion.
why ZERURA?
The word zerura means the sky. The sky can be soft and elegant and bold and feisty, this describes my design pretty well, and that’s why I chose the name. You decide how bold or how soft you want the look to be, and the jewellery mix and match.
sustainability
As you may know, overconsumption takes its toll on the environment, therefore the pieces I design are timeless and long lasting, they’re easy to style up and down, and again, they’re working for any occasion.
I, of course, want to reduce our environmental impact. One of the most polluting industries in the world is the fashion industry, in 2018 11,3 tonnes of clothing ended up in the landfill in the US alone. The world does not need more virgin textiles and garments, so here at ZERURA jewellery I want to give already existing garments a new life. Therefore, my jewellery pouches are made from second hand garments, e.g. from Red Cross, and are made in Denmark. Because of that, every pouch is one of a kind and unique. Furthermore we re-use the wrapping from our supplier, when shipping the pieces to you. This both keeps the jewellery safe in transport and it’s reducing the use of plastic. By getting the second hand garments from various NGOs, ZERURA jewellery directly supports them and the work they do.
