CARE

Most of my jewellery is made from brass. The brass is either plated with 14k gold or rhodium. Rhodium is a corrosion-resistant metal, which means it's very durable. Rhodium is a silvery-white metal that gives off one of the best sheens achievable. If you’ve chosen from our plated selection, there’re a few things to be aware of. Because it’s not a solid, but a plating, slowly over time the plating will fade, this is not a claim, because it’s a natural process.

Here are some guidelines on how to preserve the plating for as long as possible:

First of all keep it away from materials that aren't pH neutral, this is not as bad as it sounds, just keep it away from things like vinegar, lemon juice, lye and ammonia.

Remove your jewellery before you go for a swim, it goes for both chlorine and salt water.

Remove your jewellery before doing activities that make you sweat a lot.

Keep your jewellery away from lotions, perfumes and other chemicals. Let it dry before putting on your jewellery.

Minimize the contact of items that can scratch the jewellery (e.g take your ring off before lifting something heavy).

Store your jewellery in the pouches, so it won’t rub against hard surfaces.

Store the jewellery away from other metals. The best way to protect your jewellery is to keep them in separate pouches when not worn.

Cleaning your jewellery is pretty easy, all you need to do is to pour some warm water in a bowl and add some mild dishwasher soap, dip a lint-free cloth in the water and wipe the jewellery gently. Then remove the remaining soap with a clean, wet cloth and let it dry.

The above guidelines are applicable for the stainless steel and sterling silver jewellery as well.
